How Solar Works

1. The sun provides energy in the form of photons, which is absorbed by the solar cells in a photovoltaic system.
2. When the energy is absorbed by the solar cells, direct current (DC) energy is produced.
3. The inverter, an integral part of the solar system, then converts the direct current (DC) energy into alternating current (AC) electricity so that it can power your home.
4. All excess electricity is then sold back to the grid.
